Old Priorians will compete in a six team preseason tournament on the 22nd August, to be held at Grasshoppers Rugby Club as preparations for Regional 2 Thames continue apace.

Joining OPRFC at Syon Lane will be the hosts - Grasshoppers - along with Battersea Ironsides (Regional 2 South East), Old Colfeians (Regional 1 South East), London Scottish Lions (Regional 1 South Central) and Midleton (Division 2C All Ireland League).

OPs have been drawn in Pool B with London Scottish Lions - who won the Regional 2 Thames title in 2024/25 and narrowly missed out on promotion to National 2 in 2026/26 - and Midleton, a touring side from County Cork in Ireland, finishing 7th in Division 2C in the most recent campaign.

The matches will each be 25 minutes in length with no half time and conversions are to be taken as a drop kick ; four points are awarded for a win, two for a draw, as a well as a further bonus point for scoring four tries, or by losing by seven points or fewer.

The winners of each pool will face the second place side in the other pool, followed by a final between the victors of the two semi-finals ; the losers play in the 3rd/4th place playoff, with the third placed team in each pool competing in the 5th/6th place playoff.

The first game will kick off at 11am, with the OPs pool fixtures given below :

11am - v London Scottish Lions

12pm - v Midleton
