Gameweek 10 in Regional 2 Thames is now complete, with the top six having all played each other ; let's take a look at the fixtures.
Aylesbury 28-27 OPRFC
Fly half Alex Shearer inspired Aylesbury to a last minute win against Old Priorians, as they widened the gap to two points against their top half rivals.
Heading into the break at 15-15, OPs appeared to have taken control of the match around the hour with tries from James Paxman and Kimen Nyam, before two Shearer penalties brought Aylesbury back into the tie ; the hosts then spent the last ten minutes camped inside the opposition 22, forcing a number of penalties before forcing their way over and converting for a valuable win.
This takes Aylesbury in to fourth place and OPRFC in sixth - the latter picking up two bonus points - with 33 and 31 points respectively.
Beaconsfield 31-27 Teddington
Beaconsfield elevated themselves to second in the league following a tight victory against Teddington, who remain in the playoff mix despite the loss.
Both sides traded blows in the first half with Teddington leading 17-12 at half time, Thomas Hawke and Henry Hughes scoring for the Antlers with Bob Beevers adding a penalty to his two conversions ; a strong start to the second half for Beaconsfield allowed them to reclaim the lead at 24-17 with half an hour to play.
Beevers slotted another three points just after the hour mark to bring his side back to within four points but the home side found the gears to score another try in the latter stages and effectively end the contest, though Teddington did get a third try at the death through Alfie Ransom, once again converted to give Beevers of twelve points for the afternoon, 31-27 the full time score.
This moves Beaconsfield one position up the table with 41 points, with Teddington claiming a losing bonus point but falling one place to fifth as Aylesbury take their spot, both level on 33 points.
Brunel University 20-27 Belsize Park
Perhaps the biggest result of the weekend came in West London as Brunel University lost their first game of the season - as well as being defeated at home for the first time in their history - by Belsize Park, who have potentially blown the automatic promotion race wide open with the victory.
Belsize also have a game in hand over Brunel, who will be happy to have collected two bonus points from the fixture to give themselves a slight edge over the teams around them, as they now have 47 points from ten games ; Belsize have 40 from 9 and are third, looking to apply the pressure on the top two in the second half of the season.
Harpenden 36-29 Oxford Harlequins II
Harpenden secured a much needed win against erstwhile bottom of the table Oxford Harlequins II, winger Matt Shaw scoring twice as they take five points into the final fixture of the first half of the 2025/26 campaign.
There were also tries for Alex Birch, Blake Davies, Jack Francey and Archie Wilson as the last of those names added points from the boot, with Quins doing well to take two points and lift themselves into 11th with nine points. Harpenden pull themselves clear of relative danger in 8th and may now be looking towards safety as the season goes on with 22 points to their name.
London Irish Wild Geese 10-19 Marlow
The lowest scoring game of the weekend came at Sunbury with Marlow winning their fourth consecutive match, consigning London Irish to yet another defeat as they continue their search for their first victory in Regional 2 Thames this season.
Marlow took an early lead as the rolling maul was successfully deployed to drive over the line, before some patient Irish build up saw them get their first score just after the quarter hour mark to level it at 5-5. The visitors struck back immediately with one under the posts that was converted, which is how it remained going into the break.
The ultimately decisive try came twelve minutes from time for Marlow, Irish sealing a consolation deep into injury time following a long stoppage. A successful conversion would have seen them take a point from the fixture but were unable to do so, 19-10 at full time.
Marlow's impressive mini-run puts them firmly in the playoff mix in seventh with 29 points, while Wild Geese are now rooted to the bottom, with eight points from nine games.
Windsor 27-21 Grasshoppers
The enigmatic form of Grasshoppers continues as they were unable to follow up an excellent win against Aylesbury as they were defeated by a resurgent Windsor, who are now very much on the Osterley side's tail.
Windsor raced into a 10-0 lead before Chris Brown's converted try reduced the gap to three points, only for the hosts to score again before half time to make it 17-7. Finn Skinner's score looked to help turn the tide for Hoppers, but two tries in the final quarter gave Windsor both a try bonus point and daylight on the scoreboard.
James Kent's late try meant that Grasshoppers were able to take a losing bonus point, perhaps crucial as it keeps them one point above Windsor - Grasshoppers in ninth on 17 points, Windsor in tenth on 16.
That concludes this week's roundup. Here are the fixtures for next Saturday, 6th December :
Belsize Park (3) v Beaconsfield (2)

Marlow (7) v Brunel University (1)
OPRFC (6) v Windsor (10)
